The grands observed that water and oil don't mix - thus the term immiscible is given.
Next, the grands added a few drops of food color on top of the oil and observed that the food color is immiscible with oil.
When they stirred the food color into the water they observed that food color and water mix together, thus the term miscible is given.
They observed that the oil was still immiscible with the water and food color even after stirring.
When my children were little, everyday they would here me say these words "fruit and vegetables are the most life-giving foods you can possibly eat." Now I find myself repeating those words to the grands. If they can create with these foods, maybe one day these foods will work their way more and more into their tastebuds!
The grands carved and cut
and created
amazing things!
all held together by toothpicks!
We were creative with our lunch today as we made octo-dogs and shells with a side of watermelon!
Yummy!
'til next time, it's grand to be a Grand!
